About The Author

Susan M. Zimmer spent many summer holidays in Europe as a youngster, staying with her relatives who owned a Bavarian cafe/restaurant. It was here where her love for ice-cream grew into her passion for iced coffees or as they say in Europe "Eiskaffees". Coffee had always seemed to be a part of the banquet of her life. Zimmer graduated from "the school of hard knocks" and states that throughout her life she "knows that life can sometimes be a GRIND because she's BEAN there!" She was directly involved in the coffee industry for 15 years prior to the 2 years it took for her to brew Cappuccino Cocktails gourmet coffee book. Her "bean there" experience started in a selling career for nationally branded commercial coffees 15 years ago, involving national coffee product launches and retail selling of hot and cold coffee products. After 8 retail selling years, she transferred to foodservice (restaurant) sales. In 1996, she independently set up her own business of importing/distributing premium Italian espresso coffees and high-end espresso machines. In order to brew up additional sales in 1997, she created a cappuccino menu concept called "Cappuccino Cocktails". This recipe concept fuelled "espresso" excitement for her restaurant customers and their patrons. Years later she added an iced cappuccino line to her product portfolio. Her unfailing positive attitude, passionate spirit and powerful enthusiasm, fuelled by shots of her favorite espresso, kept her perking! Zimmer recognized that coffee/cappuccino and espresso enthusiasts had a 'thirst for knowledge' about their beloved coffee bean. Bam!
