Research Made Relevant Designed to demonstrate how research translates into practice, this TOPICALLY organized text is written by a well-known and highly- respected researcher in the field, and is now adapted for use in Canadian courses by Ann Barnfield, whose own area of research is the development of spatial memory. Canadian research has been added throughout, with Canadian cultural references, statistics and social policies included. As well, 50% of the 'Focus on Research' boxes feature Canadian research studies. The accessible writing style, modular format, concise presentation and effective pedagogy will make it a valuable resource for courses in psychology, education, human development, and child and family studies. In addition, this text is now accompanied by a student access code toMyDevelopmentLab"where human development comes to life"! This is a state of the art, interactive site for child and/or lifespan development courses. MyDevelopmentLab combines an E-book version of Kail Canadian edition with video, audio, multimedia simulations, research support, practice tests, exams, and more. It includes the "Virtual Child Simulation", which allows students to "raise" a child from birth through adolescence. MyDevelopmentLab engages students and gives them the tools they need to enhance their performance in your course.
