"Driving to Canada with her boyfriend to start a new life, a college student from New York city, vanishes from a lonely, low-rent motel in Vermont. The investigation and search for her yield little as the case grows cold and questions swirl about the picture-perfect region's troubling history. Months later, reporter Ray Wyatt is assigned to delve into the mystery enveloping the young woman's disappearance. When evidence surfaces tying the chilling case to several unsolved murders across the eastern U.S., FBI Special Agent Jill McDade leads a task force, pursuing an elusive monster with time hammering against them."
