Révélation ou apocalypse ?
Depuis l'aube de l'humanité, la Citadelle, fort du nord de la Turquie, abrite des communautés de moines, dont l'ordre des Sancti, les " soutanes vertes ". Après avoir été initié à leurs mystérieux sacrements, un jeune moine s'échappe du monastère pour se jeter du haut de la montagne. La scène est filmée par un touriste et projetée sur les chaînes de télévision du monde entier. C'est le début d'une lutte à mort entre la communauté des Sancti et celle des Mala, pour qui l'heure de la prophétie a sonné.
Liv Adamsen, la sÅur du moine, se rend sur place pour l'identifier et tenter de comprendre son geste. Elle se trouve prise au centre de cette guerre sans merci. Qu'est-ce que ce mystérieux Sacrement que les Sancti protègent depuis la nuit des temps ?
