About the Author Né à Paris le 3 octobre 1897, Aragon rencontre Breton et Soupault avec qui il fonde la revue Littérature en 1919. Il adhère au parti communiste en 1930, préside avec Jean Paulhan et Elsa Triolet à la fondation du Comité National des Ãcrivains et avec Jacques Decour à celle des Lettres françaises. Il meurt à Paris le 24 décembre 1982.
