Images by Walter Wick were taken from the book I Spy Christmas published in 1992. Cartwheel Books, a division of Scholastic, Inc., has developed the Scholastic Reader series with Level 1 through Level 4. This book is from Level 1 and includes short sentences and simple words which can be sounded out phonetically by the newest readers. Guided by parents or teachers a very young child can match the object in the full page photograph with the word and picture on the opposite side. My two-year-old grandson had no trouble finding the objects in the ten charming and nostalgic scenes of Christmas. At the end of the book students are challenged to match words and objects that rhyme, or letters and sounds that begin a word or are found at the end of a word. Along with the Fluency Fun which includes seventeen high frequency words, parents can help students with the sight recognition drills. These skills will help young students recognize common syllables and spelling patterns. This book is a good choice for preschool students.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
